The year is 2030 something and we’ve just confirmed that one of the TRAPPIST-1 planets is safe for humans to inhabit. John Snarding is a senior NASA scientist who for the past ten years had headed a team dedicated to conceiving and testing alternative methods of space travel that can possibly be used to transport humans to TRAPPIST-1.
Thankfully a breakthrough has come just in time. Plans for a device that can bend space, allowing for near instantaneous travel, are approved by the government, and within six months a prototype is developed.
But John quickly realizes that his discovery is on par with discoveries of legends such as Einstein and the Wright Brothers. But this is a different and much more dangerous time. John must wrestle with the idea of sharing his knowledge in detail. Or attempting to keep the most sensitive information to himself.
