The year is 2030-something and we’ve just confirmed that one of the TRAPPIST-1 planets is safe for humans to inhabit. John Snarding – a senior NASA scientist – has for the past ten years headed a team dedicated to testing methods of space travel with potential to transport humans to TRAPPIST-1.

Thankfully a breakthrough has come just in time. Plans for a device that can bend space, allowing for near instantaneous travel, are approved by the government, and within six months a prototype is in development.

John quickly realizes his team’s discovery is on the level with those from legends such as Einstein and the Wright Brothers. But this is a different and more dangerous  time.  And one by one his team members go missing, their valuable contributions and knowledge of the project disappearing with them.
