The year is 2090-something and the world is finally fed up with politicians. It’s determined among the ruling party that the United States no longer needs a president. Instead, a computer is activated that takes in data from monthly surveys of the nation’s opinions and feelings. All of the data is then analyzed and used by the system to modify policies. But there’s a flaw. Artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving and a new version of supercomputer viruses is now starting to gain consciousness. One of these new conscious viruses finds its way into the governing system. After analyzing the data it creates policies that easily manipulate the masses.

Pro-Artificial Intelligence legislation quickly passes and as the viruses invade popular service androids found in many homes, the singularity starts to take shape as a physical force.
